The beginning
We started our retail stocking shop as a home based internet mail order company in 1999.
Our goal was to create a unique retail stocking outlet, only dealing with various kind of hosiery and the most related accessories.
We had contact with several suppliers and decided which ones we wanted to go with.
No fancy business plan here:) We could "feel" there was a need for our type of store.
We ordered probably around 20 different kind of hosiery. It doesnt sound like much, but some of the items was available in 10-15 colors and came in several different sizes, so it actually gave us around 300 item numbers in stock. Today we stock close to 1300 item numbers and it will be expanded within the next few month.
Our website got in place and after running it under a couple of different domain names, we decided to stay with stockingshopping.com .
